My Podcast!
I used Gabcast to create my first podcast.
Summary: A podcast can be aduio or video and is a series of files that are downloaded through the web. Podcasting is a form of audio broadcasting on the internet. Anyone can create a podcast! Podcasts are useful for distributing imformation to poeple. Many people use podcasts to listen to music or even watch videos.
My experience.....
This was my first experience with creating my own podcast. The process was fairly easy, but I was confused when setting up my account and channel. Once I figured out how to create everything on the actual website, creating the podcast was simple. I called a number from my cellphone and recorded my podcast from there. The directions were east to follow and it took me less than 5 minutes to create and publish my podcast! These podcasts can be very helpful for sharing informarion and connecting with other people. You can even have a conference call on gabcast! Overall, this experience was a postive one and I learned how to use a new technology!
Tips for creating your own podcast!
1. Read through information carefully when creating your account and channel.
2. Make sure to create a password that is easy to type into your cell phone when recording your podcast.
3. Be aware of how many minutes you have used when recording your podcast. With Gabcast, you are given 5 free minutes to start out with. If you go over these minutes you have to purchase new ones!

Welcome to my blog! :)
If you haven't already noticed, my name is Courtney Cunningham! I am 19 years old and I am from Kokomo, IN. I graduated from Kokomo High School in 2009. I have just completed my first year of college at IUPUI, and I am majoring in Elementary Education. I hope to learn more about education, technology, and my fellow classmates through this blog experience!
Creating this blog was a very pain free and simple process. All of the directions were very clear and easy to follow. I was able to quickly create a username, password, and URL without any trouble. This was probably one of the simplest online setups I have done. I enjoyed that you could pick your own color scheme, font, and layout for the blog. It makes the blog feel more unique and personal.
Here are some tips for creating your own blog!
1. Be sure to carefully read through directions when setting up your email and password for your blogger account. Make sure to use a password that you can easily remember!
2. Always read through information that will be posted on your blog. There are always certain things that you can include or leave out of your blog/profile.
3. Be creative and pick a color scheme and layout! It makes your blog more interesting and inviting.
4. Adding a picture is easy too! Just go to your profile and upload and picture from your own computer.
